MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to provide applicable and engaging training that will equip learners with the knowledge to perform work on and around power systems confidently, effectively, and safely.

ANTI DISCRIMINATION POLICY

It is the policy of Power Engineering Services, LLC to uphold a safe working and learning environment free from all forms of discrimination. PES does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, the hiring and firing of staff members, selection of volunteers and vendors, and provision of training and technical services. We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our staff, clients, volunteers, subcontractors, vendors, and learners. Any violations of this policy by anyone employed with or contracted with PES or individuals attending a learning event, will be reported to PES’s Education Manager and will result in disciplinary action or removal from the training program.

INSTRUCTORS PROPRIETARY INTEREST POLICY

It is the policy of Power Engineering Services, LLC to disclose if our Instructors have any proprietary interest in the products, instruments, devices, or materials used in our training program. Unless otherwise stated, there are no proprietary interests our Instructors hold in the products, instruments, devices, or materials used in the program.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS POLICY

It is the policy of Power Engineering Services, LLC that all materials used in the program have been purchased, granted permission for there use, or properly cited on all of our training materials to uphold the intellectual and legal property rights of the owners. PES reserves all rights to the training materials designed and developed by the team.

VALID ID AND LEARNER VERIFICATION PROCESS

Valid photo identification is required of learners to present at the start of each learning event. Accepted forms of ID include, driver’s license, state ID, passport, or Green Card. For online-based training, PES will conduct a verification process with the learner’s employer to ensure the individuals registered for the course are the same individuals who took the course and receive their Continuing Education Unit (CEU).

NOTICE STUDENT COMMUNICATION POLICY

Power Engineering Services, LLC has qualified Instructors who have received either a degree or certified training in their subject matter. All learners must be present for their course 100% of the time, actively engaging with the material, learning activities and must complete the end of course assessment. Learners must receive a minimum passing score of 70% on the multiple-choice assessment to pass the course and receive their certificate of completion along with the CEUs.

Learners who do not pass the end of course assessment will be allowed a second attempt during their course. Our Instructor will offer remediation to all learners who did not pass the first attempt. It is the responsibility of the learner to inform their Instructor that they would like to retake their assessment.

Upon completion of the course, the learner will receive a certificate of completion within 3-5 business days. The certificate will be sent to learners via email and can be downloaded for their own records. It is the responsibility of the learner to follow the record release procedure to receive a replacement certificate in the event the certificate is lost.

CRITERIA FOR SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF PES CONTINUING EDUCATION CERTIFICATE (CEU)

  • 100% attendance during the course.
  • Active engagement in the course and with the Instructor.
  • Receive a 70% or higher on the end of the course assessment.
  • Complete and submit the training evaluation form at the end of the course.

SUPPORT SERVICES

All PES training participants will have access to support services from our team. Any questions, comments, concerns, and/or questions regarding a course’s subject matter, quality and learning environment options can be directed to our Training Coordinator, Deanne Start, at [email protected] or can be mailed to our corporate office; 9179 Shadow Creek Ln, Converse TX 78109, attention Training Coordinator.

Learners must address their concerns about this training program by emailing a formal letter to the above email address or in writing to our corporate office.

If a learner is dissatisfied with the initial response to their question, comment or concern, they may file a formal complaint with the Education Manager by sending a formal email or letter to the above email or address. Learners may also file a formal complaint with any other relevant agencies and/or accreditation institutes, if needed or applicable.

COMPLETION CERTIFICATE

At the completion of the course, learners will receive a certificate of completion. The certificate of completion will certify that the learner met all required criteria to receive their CEUs.

Learners who did not meet the criteria to earn the CEU will be given a certificate of participation. The certificate will certify their contact time with the course but will not grant any CEUs.

RECORDS RELEASE AND PRIVACY POLICY

It is the policy of Power Engineering Services, LLC to maintain records for learners that are kept up-to-date, confidential, and in our system for a minimum of 7 years in accordance with the ANSI/IACET standard for Continuing Education and Training. PES is dedicated to keeping all learner information properly stored and secured. The information stored for our records includes the learners full legal name, email, employer registration, their course participation transcript, assessment results, and all anonymous evaluation feedback forms. The information that is kept on file is used strictly for our record-keeping purposes. A learner’s personal data will never be used for marketing purposes, solicitation, or sold to third-party affiliates.

In the event a learner has misplaced their certificate, they may request a new copy from the Training Coordinator, who will conduct the verification procedure before releasing the record.

  1. The learner will email [email protected] with the subject line “Record Request”.
  2. The Training Coordinator will ask the following 3 questions to verify the learner’s identity.
    • What is your first and last name?
    • What email was used during registration?
    • What course did you take?
  3. Once the learner has verified their identity, the Training Coordinator will release their record to them via email within 3-5 business days. The learner will receive a PDF copy of their official transcript as well as their certificate of completion.
